Glossy or matte kitchen tiles

Although we do not have the statistical data to confirm it, it is almost certain that this is the most used finish to cover kitchen walls.

The glossy tile has 2 main advantages over the matte coating:

• The luminosity. Normally we want our kitchen to be a bright space. Whether it is a kitchen with exterior windows or not, we want the elements to highlight the light. And for this, ceramics give us two options, the shiny tile and the white kitchen tile.

• Cleaning.One of the advantages of a shiny texture over a satin texture is the ease of cleaning. Although it is true that fingerprints will be more noticeable on a glossy tile, both these and other stains will be much easier to remove.

The advantages of cleanliness and brightness We could extrapolate a glossy tile in the same way to kitchen furniture.

Except for large kitchens, the majority of space does not allow much room for combining different types of tiles. 

The most normal thing is that between the furniture, entrance door and possible windows, there is only one exposed wall. We almost always cover this with a neutral, light-colored coating.

However, one of the areas that gives the most opportunity to be creative with decoration is the front of the kitchen (the space between wall units and low).

An excellent option is to use tiles with relief. These models are very decorative and are used to highlight kitchen and bathroom walls.

The type of tile that we are going to buy will depend on the style of kitchen that we prefer, and these of course must be in accordance with the style of furniture.

Within the rustic kitchen tiles there are both glossy and satin finishes. These models are characterized by having a small size and usually have a predominant character in the decoration of the space.
