There is some question about the difference between a red body tile and a white body tile. Both types of cladding can be used both indoors and outdoors. The difference between red-paste and white-paste ceramic tiles is the material from which it is made, the clays and sand used. The technical characteristics are very similar, and the hardness and resistance of the materials is almost the same. Yes, it is true that the enamel applied to the tile "catches" better on white-paste tiles and, therefore, the colors of white-paste ceramic are more successful than those of a red-paste tile. . They are more vivid colors. The white body coating is said to be "more perfect" than the red body coating. This is, as we say, for the finish of the enamel, but not for the hardness or quality of the material. This difference can be verified in any tile store, for example, with white tiles. Surely we will see a sharper or purer white on the white body tile. Apart from this characteristic, what justifies the price difference between one type of tile and another is that, while the red body is produced in Castellón, the white body is imported from countries such as Ukraine, Turkey or England, at a cost of high transport that makes the product more expensive. A red body covering can be between € 2 and € 4 cheaper than a white body covering of the same size, for the reasons we have discussed.
