Θα ήθελα να μάθω εάν σε αυτά βάφονται αν έχουν αλλοιωθεί με την πάροδο του χρόνου και με τι υλικό βάφονται. Και αν μπορούν μετά το βάψιμο να περαστεί με βερνίκι άχρωμο για προστασία του χρώματος.

Ανάλογα με τις καιρικές συνθήκες φθείρονται λίγο-πολύ, από την άλλη είναι δυνατό να το βερνίκωμα αλλά θα αφαιρέσει την αντιολισθητική λειτουργία του σκαλοπατιού.
